Thanks to their fine position, From April to October they are protected from dawn to dusk by the rays of the sun, allowing the composition of the soil to bestow on the selected grapes shades, structures, perfumes and flavours marked by appreciably and variously accentuated nuances. The harvest is tinged with the colours of autumn and rounds off a Bear of work, anxiety and care. Time-honoured airs echo through the rows of vines, and the joy of the feast strengthens the ties and sentiments within the winery aided by the latest vintage of wine.
But the festival atmosphere does not undermine the selective rigor by which Roberto keeps intact the distinctive qualities of the grapes in the wines. Ihree Dolcetto d’Ovada doc crus result: Vigna Sorito, Vigna Rivarotta and Torre Valle Scura; Barbera del Monferrato doc Vigna Bagotta and Cortese Alto Monferrato doc Vigna Sella.
The investment carried out in the winery consolidates the firm’s prestigious image and give it a leading role in the appreciation of the natural vocation of this land, which has always been so bounteous in bestowing quality. A series of small oak barrels earmarked for the maturation of the Dolcetto d’Ovada Torre Valle Scura acts as a counterpart to the glittering stainless steel, where the skilled hand of the wine-maker, Francesco Ferrero, helps the intense perfumes to mature and to bring out the fruity qualities of the single varieties.
